RUN UP Flashcards
GEN TIES
Switch to OPEN
(Verify that the L &R GEN TIE OPEN annunciator are illuminated)
VOLMETER BUS
Select to TLP FEED
(Verify that the indicated voltage is one volt less than the indicated generator voltage)
VOLMETER BUS
SELECT TO R GEN then L GEN
(Verify that the indicated voltage is between 27,5-29 and that the generators are parallel within 1 volt of each other)
VOLMETER BUS
SELECT to CTR
(Verify battery voltage)
GEN TIES
Switch to NORMAL
(Verify that the L and R GEN TIE OPEN annunciators are extinguished)
BUS SENSE
Switch to TEST then NORMAL
(Verify that L and R GEN TIE OPEN and the BAT TIE OPEN annunciators are illuminated and the center bus voltage is zero)
BUS SENSE
Switch to RESET then NORMAL
(Verify that the L and R GEN TIE and the BAT TIE OPEN annunciators are extinguished; the center bus voltage reads 27,5-29 volts and the generators loads are parallel and within 10% of each other. Put the voltage selector to triple fed for the flight)
Left bleed air switch
PNEU & ENVIR OFF
1) Pneumatic pressure and vacuum gages NORMAL PRESSURE
2) [L BLEED FAIL] & [R BLEED FAIL] Extinguished
Right bleed air switch
PNEU & ENVIR OFF
1) Pneumatics pressure and vacuum gages ZERO PRESSURE
2) [L BLEED FAIL] [R BLEED FAIL] ILLUMINATED
Left bleed air switch
OPEN OR ENVIR OFF
1) Pneumatics pressure and vacuum gages (NORMAL PRESSURE)
2) [L BLEED FAIL] & [R BLEED FAIL] EXTINGUISHED
Right bleed air switch
OPEN OR ENVIR OFF
DEICE / ANTI ICE
CHECK
FLAPS
Checked full travel
O/S gov. / Rudder boost
Checked
Rudder boost switch
Rudder boost
Propeller control
Full fine
Propeller governor test switch
Hold to gov
Individually increase power, and note that the propeller rpm stabilizes at
1565 rpm +/- 45rpm
Continue to increase power until
Rudder movement is noted (right power / right rudder, left power / left rudder)
Observe ITT and torque limits
DISC TRIM/AP YD BUTTON
Depress to the first level and release
Primary governors
Reduce to 1500rpm
Increase torque by
5-10% prop maintains 1500 rpm
Power lever
Idle
Propeller governor test switch
Release
Propeller levers
Full fine
Ground low pitch stop
Checked
Hold the GND IDLE STOP switch to
TEST
Advance the power levers to achieve a propeller speed of
1500 rpm
Verify the L and R PROP PITCH annunciators are illuminated
Release the GND IDLE STOP switch to
OFF
Verify that the propeller rpm has stabilized at 1100 to 1200 rpm and the L and R PROP PITCH annunciators are extinguished
Auto feather
Checked
Auto feather switch
Hold to test
Power levers
Set approximately 22% torque
Verify that the auto-feather annunciators are illuminated
Power levers
Retard individually
(Note that at approximately 17% torque the opposite annunciators extinguishes)
(Note that at approximately 10% torque both annunciators are extinguished and the propeller starts to feather . The auto feather annunciators cycle on and off with each fluctuation of torque as the propeller feathers
Power levers
Idle
Auto feather switch
Test
Verify that both annunciators are extinguished and neither propeller feathers
