How are rules and laws different
A
- Legal Rules LAWS - these permit, modify or prohibit the activities of all people in the community.
- Non-legal Rules RULES - these determine what behaviour is unacceptable in particular groups or institutions.

who makes rules and laws
A
Rules - made by the club/school/group/even families that people have joined.
Laws - made by the Parliament/council/Court.

what are the consequences of breaching them
A
- Rules: The consequences of breaking rules are normally not too severe.
- Laws: Consequences of breaking laws can be very significant - jail, fines, restricted rights, losing job.

A
Rules: ( suspended/ expelled from school, grounded)
Laws: Sent to jail, getting a fine.
