• Be prepared to walk in single file
• Keep close to the side of the road
• Cross the road well before or after a band

• In daylight conditions, wear something bright or fluorescent
• In the dark wear reflective articles of clothing or shoes

Young children should?

Answer 3

• Not be alone on the pavement
• You should stand between them and any traffic and always hold their hand
• Have very young children in pushchairs or in reins
• If they are in a pram, do not cross the road with the pram in harms way before checking
