What is a Class 1 violation
An incident of noncompliance that is the most serious in nature and may result in death or serious harm to a child
What are some examples of class 1 violation? (3 examples)
- A child was not adequately supervised
- A child left behind in a vehicle or field trip
- Physical punishment
What is a class 2 violation?
An incident of noncompliance that is less serious in nature than a class 1 violation. A class 2 violation may be elevated to a class 1 violation if the noncompliance resulted in death or serious harm to the child.
What are some examples of class 2 violation? (3 examples)
- Outdoor play place was not enclosed with a fence at least 4 feet in height
- Bedding was not sanitary and poses a threat to the health and safety of a child
- The director responsible did not have a active director credential
What is a Class 3 violation?
An incident of noncompliance and is the least serious in nature
What are some examples of Class 3 violations? ( 3 examples)
- Documentation of CPR was not on file for staff
- First aid kit within reach of children
- No written document of know allergy or special restrictions
