Rule #4 - Drain the Shallows Flashcards
Schedule every minute of your day
Without structure it’s easy to allow your time to develve into shallow. This is dangerous because, since your willpower is limited, shallow deplets it stealing time to deep work
Quanytify the depth of every activity
By doing this you can define how mush time you’re allowed to spend on shallow work.
Have a fixed work day
Set a goal to not working past a certain time, the work backword to find productivity strategies that allow you to satisfy this declaration
Do more work when you send or reply to emails
Before replying ask yourself: what is the project represented by this message, and what is the most efficient (in terms of messages generated) process for bringing this project to a succesful conclusion
