She is from Australia.
Sie kommt aus Australien.
She has been living in Berlin for three months.
Sie lebt seit drei Monaten in Berlin.
She is sitting at the breakfast table and writing in her diary.
Sie sitzt am Frühstückstisch und schreibt in ihr Tagebuch.
Dear diary,
Liebes Tagebuch,
I love my life in Berlin.
Ich liebe mein Leben in Berlin.
I’ve already experienced a lot.
Ich habe schon so viel erlebt.
On the flight from Sydney to Berlin I met a man.
Auf dem Flug von Sydney nach Berlin habe ich einen Mann kennengelernt.
His name is Robert but his nickname is Bobbi.
Er heißt Robert, aber sein Spitzname ist Bobbi.
I first thought I’d never see him again.
Ich dachte zuerst, ich sehe ihn nie wieder.
But then I looked for a room in a shared apartment and called there.
Aber dannn habe ich ein Zimmer in einer Wohngemeinschaft (WG) gesucht und dort angerufen.
And you know who was on the phone? Bobbi!
Und weißt du, wer am Telefon war? Bobbi!
Robert? (pause) Tell me, do we know each other?
Robert? (Pause) Sag mal, kennen wir uns?
Uhm… What’s your name? - Katie!
Äh… Wie heißt du denn? - Katie!
Ah Katie! The one from the airplane! Of course! It’s me, Bobbi!
Ah Katie? Die aus dem Flugzeug! Na klar! Ich bin’s, Bobbi!
Katie drops the phone. “I’m going crazy. The cute guy from the airplane!”
Katie lässt das Telefon fallen. “Ich werd’ verrückt. Der süße Typ vom Flugzeug!”
Can you believe that?
Kannst du es glauben?
What a coincidence!
Was für ein Zufall!
And then I moved into Bobbi’s shared appartment.
Und dann bin ich in die WG von Bobbi gezogen.
His half-brother Gogo also lives there.
Dort wohnt auch sein Halbbruder Gogo.
