A rectal injection for clearing out the bowel, or for administering drugs or food.

With gloves index finger of dominant hand, insert suppository gently through anus, past the internal sphincter and against the rectal wall:
Adult - 4 inches
Child - 3 inches
Infant- 2 inches
Special needles which are twisted onto the tip and locked in place.
Luer-Lok needles
Large enough for most subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
