- What is practice play?
sensory motor skills
-Things like dumping, manipulating objects, running
- Symbolic Play?
Which is pretend or make believe.
It includes socioedrama (adopting familiar roles). Includes thematic family play (which is super heroes, princesses, etc.)
- Games with rules?
Any board games (connect 4, monopoly), or competitive sport (baseball/basketball)
- Constructive play?
Manipulating objects to create something, so building with blocks or drawing a picture.
Aspects of social play? Solitary?
Solitary (play alone, totally independent)
Aspects of social play?
Parallel
next to each other, no interaction. Each child in parallel play see the toys as their own

Associative Play
Playing next to each other and there is some interaction. Sporadic interaction, might be talking, turn taking, maybe a little sharing, but not fully playing together
Aspects of social play? Cooperative Play (Most sociable play)
Interacting for the purpose of Play. Negotiating a role, shared ideas
