לָחַם
Niphal to fight, do battle, wage war, pf. נִלְחַם This verb occurs rarely in the Qal. The Niphal meaning “to fight” appears to have an active force. The word is related to the noun מִלְחָמָה (battle).
מָלַט
Niphal to slip away, escape, be delivered, pf. נִמְלַט This verb does not occur in the Qal.
סָתַר
Niphal to hide oneself, be hid, be concealed, pf. נִסְתַּר This verb does not occur in the Qal.
קָרָא
Qal to call, proclaim, read, name
שָׁאַר
Niphal to be left over, remain, pf. נִשְׁאַר, ptc. נִשְׁאָר (survivor)

Niphal to swear, take an oath, pf. נִשְׁבַּע, impf. יִשָּׁבַע or יִשָּׁבֵעַ Because the word ends with a guttural letter, the theme vowel in the imperfect is páṯaḥ.
