Reserve style wine (definition)
Reserve wine is a term given to a specific wine to imply that is of a higher quality than usual, or a wine that has been aged before being sold, or both. Traditionally winemakers would “reserve” some of their best wine rather than sell it immediately, coining the term.

family-run firm. the grape picking, winemaking, bottling and selling are done by family members. began growing grapes in the early 1900s, verona hills is where they grow. Heart of the valpolicella region, vines are often over 20 years old. Grapes for this particular wine are dried for at least 100 days in special small wood cases (apassimento process). Begins its long fermentation prcess in Jan/Feb (instead of Sept/Oct). up to 3 years aging in small oak barrels, in bottle another 6 months before being sold - 50% Corvina, 40% Rondinella, 10% various other local grapes.
