17
Q

What famous singer copied large amounts of the choreography?

A

Beyoncé

18
Q

What does the costume remind audiences of?

A

The low value that the choreographer wants the dancer to have. The choreographic intention was for audiences to immediately see that the dancers are not appreciated.

19
Q

How does the choreographer use the costumes?

A

She emphasises the confinement of the setting which suggests the extent of the dancers boredom and frustration. The dancers all wearing the same clothes emphasises the institution they are trapped in (uniform)? The baggy clothing also helps with the ease of movements and can exaggerate some movements (pulling shirt of shoulder)
