Love and Violence is represented through the characters of Romeo and Juliet and how there acts of love always have a violent twist. An example of this is when Romeo fights Tybalt out of love for Mercutio with a violent outcome of Tybalt dying. Love and Violence can also be seen through Romeo and Juliet and how the more love they showed towards each other, the more violent things grew.

Fate

A

(Coldplay once said “I used to roll the dice”(Viva La Vida).)-MAYBE However this isn’t possible for
Romeo and Juliet because they are star-crossed lovers and fated to not be together no matter how much luck is on their side. Fate is seen throughout the entire book making sure that Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t be able to be with each other. Fate is also represented through foreshadowing, such as romeos dream.

Individual vs Society

A

Individual vs Society represented in the book as Romeo and Juliet being the Individual battling their Families, the society. The Individuals are constantly at war with Society because Society doesn’t allow the Individuals to be with one another. These lovers struggle with loving each other because the feud that was going on in the their society.

A

In Romeo and Juliet, language and wordplay is heavily shown in the dialogues between characters. As almost everything has double meanings. Such as when romeo talks about nimble soles and soles of lead.

Family and Duty is best seen in the two main households expecting their children to hold their duty towards their families. Such as when Juliet has a duty to marry Paris.
