Romans Flashcards
Rom 1:20
For since the creation of the world-God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made so that men are without excuse
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Rom 4:3
Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness
Rom 4:5
The man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness
Rom 5:5
And hope does not disappoint us BC God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us
Rom 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us
Rom 5:20
Where sin increased grace increased all the more
Rom 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
Romans 6:12,13
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal bodies so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.
Romans 8:5,6
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live according to the Spirit have their mind set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of the sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.
Rom 8:14-17
Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a Spirit that makes you a slave again to fear but you received the spirit of Sonship and by Him we cry Abba Father. The Spirit himself testifies that we are God’s children . Now if we are children than we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Rom 8:28,31
In all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose. If God is for us who can be against us
Rom 8:38,39
I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor death, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord
Rom 10:9-13
That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For it is with your heart you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth you confess and are saved. As the scripture says anyone who trust in Him will never be put to shame
Rom 12:1,2
Therefore I urge you in view of God’s mercy to offer yourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Them you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- His good, pleasing, and perfect will
Rom 12:3
Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought but rather think of yourself in sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you
Rom 12:9-13
Love must be sincere, hate what is evil, cling to what is good, be devoted to one another in brotherly love, honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal but keep your spiritual fervor serving The Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Rom 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends upon you, live at peace with everyone
Romans 12:19
Do not take revenge my friends but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written, “It is mine to avenge, I will repay says the Lord.”
Romans 13:8
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:14
Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ and do not think about how to gratify the desires of sinful nature.
Rom 14:7,8
For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live we live to The Lord and if we die we die to The Lord, so whether we live or die we belong to The Lord
Rom 15:1-3
We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good to build him up. For even Christ did not please himself
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
