Romans Flashcards
Man has NO EXCUSE for rejecting God
1
Jews are just as guilty b/c they don’t keep the law
2
ALL HAVE SINNED, but there is righteousness through faith
3
Abraham is the example: Righteousness through FAITH, NOT WORKS
4
Through faith we have PEACE with God and abounding grace
5
We are dead to sin and slave to God; don’t listen to sin
6
And yet, we keep sinning. Thanks to God who saves us!
7
NO CONDEMNATION! The Spirit helps us
8
It’s up to God to whom he shows mercy
9
Everyone can be saved!
10
God still loves Israel; Warning for the Gentiles to not be proud
11
Commands for every Christian
12
Fulfill the law with LOVE
13
DON’T JUDGE each other - we all stand before God
14
Let’s follow Jesus’ example

Closing
16
For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (v.21)
1
For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. (v.1)
2
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (v.23)
3
And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness (v.5)
4
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (v.8)
5
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (v.23)
6
For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. (v.18)
7
But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (v.10)
8
So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. (v.18)
9
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (v.13)
10
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace. (v.6)
11
Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (v.12-13)
12
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. (v.14)
13
So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. (v.12)
14
Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. (v.2)
