What is a rock?
A rock is the solid part of the Earth’s crust consisting of numerous materials.
What are the types of rocks?
They are igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks
What are igneous rocks?
Igneous rocks are primary rocks formed from hot molten rocks when it cools and solidifies.
What is the types of igneous rocks?
They are Plutonic/Extrusive and Volcanic/intrusive rocks
What is the difference between intrusive and extrusive rocks?
Extrusive rocks are rocks that solidify slowly before getting to the Earth’s surface while intrusive rocks are rocks that solidify rapidly after getting to the Earth’s surface
Which rock is formed rom fossils and remains from dead animals?
Sedimentary rocks
What are metamorphic rocks?
Metamorphic rocks form when rocks are subjected to high heat, high pressure, hot mineral-rich fluids, or, more commonly, some combination of these factors.
