Robotics Flashcards
1
Q
What are the advantages of robotics?
A
Surgeon can operate for longer without fatigue, can control hand tremors, and allows for distance surgeries
2
Q
What is supervisory controlled robotics?
A
The most automated option that requires planning and marking point registrations on the patients body
3
Q
What is telesurgical robotics?
A
MIS surgery but with a robot instrument. The surgeon sees the patient in 3D and uses a joystick to control the surgical arms
4
Q
What is shared controlled robotics?
A
The robot controls access and boundaries which the surgeon is allowed to move
