these separate lanes of traffic/ protect traffic turning right

edge of a carriageway
What does yellow lines mean along the side of a road?
waiting and stopping restrictions
What does zigzag lines mean along the side of a road?
no stopping or parking at any times
What do broken lines on/ across the road?
give way
What do solid lines on/ across the road?
stop
On motoways what does amber means?
warns you of a hazard
fog, lane closures, maximum speed limits, instruction to leave at next exist
