Section 2
It is an offence for any person to rive a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place dangerously.
Section 3
It is an offence for any person to drive a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place,
without due care and attention,
or without reasonable consideration for other people using the road or public place
Section 1
It is an offence for any person to cause the death of a person by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle dangerously on a road or other public place.
Section 2B
Creates an offence for any person to cause the death of a person by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place,
Without due care or attention
OR
without reasonable consideration for other people using the road it other public place.
Section 3A
Creates an offence if a person caused the death of another person by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place Without DCaA or without RCfOP using R or PP and he is-
At the time driving- unfit drink/drugs
Consumed too much alcohol that the proportion in breath, blood, urine exceeds…
Refuse to provide within 18h
Required by Con to give permission, specimen of blood, s7A fails, reasonable excuse
Section 3ZB
Creates an offence for any person to cause the death of another person by driving a motor vehicle on a road, and at the time they were driving they were committing an offence under s87(1) s103(1)(b) s143 Of the road traffic act 1988
Section 143
Creates an offence to use, cause or permit the use of a motor vehicle on a road or other public place without a policy of insurance coveting third party risks being in force.
143 defence
All must apply-
Vehicle did not belong to driver and
Vehicle not hired to driver and
Vehicle was being driven by them in the course of their employment and
Person neither knew or had reason to believe there was no insurance cover

Police power
Require production of a certificate of insurance from any person who
Is Driving a motor vehicle on a road
Reasonable cause to believe that the person was the driver of a motor vehicle when an accident occurred
Reasonable cause to believe committed an offence in relation to a vehicle on a road.
Section 103
Creates an offence for any person to obtain a licence or other drive a motor vehicle on a road whilst disqualified.
Section 87
Creates an offence for any person to drive, or cause it permit another person to drive, Any class if motor vehicle on a road, Otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising them to drive a motor vehicle of that class.
Section 28
Creates an offence for any person to rude a cycle on a road dangerously
Section 29
Creates an offence for any person to ride such a cycle in a road without due care or attention, or without reasonable consideration for other road users.
Section 2 & 3 power of arrest
CONDITIONAL
Constable may arrest a driver who within their view commits one of these offences unless they either-
Give their name and address
Produce their driving licence
Section 178
It is an offence for any person to take and drive away a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner or other lawful authority, OR
Knowing that a motor vehicle has been stolen, allow them self to be carried in or on it without such consent or authority.
