What is Mercantilism and how does it impact the colonies?
Trade between colonies and their mother country. The colonies are impacted negatively.
What are the navigation Acts and why did England create them?
The Navigation Acts are laws for colonial trade. England created them in order to control the trade and earn more money
What were the causes of the French and Indian War?
Conflict between France and England for power in America
Who fought the French and Indian War? List All Groups from BOTH sides and the advantages they had.

Why didn’t Native American tribes like the British colonists.
The British destroyed their lands.
What was the purpose of Benjamin Franklin’s Albany Plan of Union?
To unite the colonies in order to form one government.
What did the Treaty of Paris 1763 say?
The french needed to give up their lands to the English.
What did the Proclamation of 1763 state? Why did England create this law?
It started that British Colonists should not move west of the Appalachian Mountains in order to avoid conflict with the Native Americans.
Why did Great Britain begin taxing the colonies?
To pay off the debt from the French and Indian War.
What is the Stamp Act?
Tax on paper products that is verified by a stamp.
Why did Sam Adams create the Sons of Liberty?
To protest against the Sugar and Stamp Acts.
What does the phrase “no taxation without representation” mean?
The colonists couldn’t express their feelings about the taxes freely, and invasion of their rights as a British citizen.
What does it mean to boycott?
To refuse in purchasing British products that are taxed.
What goods did the Townsend Acts tax?
It taxes lead, paper, glass, and tea.
Why did England pass the Intolerable Acts?
To punish the colonies for the Boston Tea Party.
