In relation to earning devices, What must police do while urgent duty driving ?
Police must use red and blue flashing lights and siren at all times continuously while undertaking urgent duty driving, unless a ‘tactical approach’ is used
What is a tactical approach?
Using a tactical approach is the exception rather than the rule
Any tactical approach must be proportionate to the incident and in line with TENR.
A tactical approach can not be used once a fleeing driver incident is initiated.
Who can order the fleeing driver incident to be abandoned ?
The lead or secondary drivers/passengers.
The field supervisor
The pursuit controller.

If a person fails to complete a CIT test what can you do?
Arrest that person. Sec 120
Sec 121 : an officer may:
Forbid person to drive for a specified period.
Direct person to drive to a place for rest.
Take possession of all ignition or other keys
Take steps necessary to render vehicle immobile or to move it to a place that does not constitute a traffic hazard.

Temporary closing of roads:
Can a driveway to a rural property be closed by Police if there is a danger to the public?
