- Plummer-Vinson syndrome (iron-deficiency anemia, dysphagia from an esophageal

–Barrett esophagus is metaplastic replacement of squamous with intestinalized
columnar epithelium
- GERD (up to 60%)
- Hiatal hernia
- Obesity- 3-4 fold increase risk

malignancy.
