Is the process of estimating the probability of occurrence of an adverse effect on human and ecological health resulting from contaminants

What are brownfields?
Abandoned sites where there is a potential for redevelopment. There about 4000 - 6000 brownfield sites in BC
Why are brownfields not recommended?
Brownfield are little economic value and can pose human health and environmental risks

EA is planning and decision making tool
How early should an EA be conducted in the planning stsge?
As early as possible
