A
• Stress is a controversial term, but is broadly understood to result from an “imbalance between demands and resources” or occurring when “pressure exceeds ones perceived ability to cope”

Describe main aims of safety netting
A
- If uncertainty remains, this should be communicated to the patient
- They must know what to look out for and be told exactly how to seek help for given outcomes or clinical features
- It may be useful to arrange follow up face to face or over the phone
- They should also know the likely time course of their illness
