Describe main aims of safety netting

A
  • If uncertainty remains, this should be communicated to the patient
  • They must know what to look out for and be told exactly how to seek help for given outcomes or clinical features
  • It may be useful to arrange follow up face to face or over the phone
  • They should also know the likely time course of their illness
