Ultimately,- the Munich Putsch failed. Hitler was arrested and imprisoned for treason. However, he gained enormous publicity for himself and his views.
He was left off very lightly and only served 5 years instead of life for treason
He only served 9 months of his sentence and did so in the comfort of Landsburg castle.
It was clear that Hitler had support and sympathy from important figures in the legal system.
His links with Ludendorff gained attention from important army figures.

Hitler and members of the Nazi party hijacked a governor meeting where Hitler announced he was taking over governor of Bavaria.
12 Nazis were killed.
Hitler escaped.
