What does Risalah mean?
Prophethood
What is the definition of Risalah.
It means the communication between Allah and humans. This happens through prophets who communicate with Allah.
What book did Musa have revealed to him?
Musa (Moses) had the Tawrat (Torah revealed to him.
What book did Dawud have revealed to him?
Dawud (David) Had the Zabur (Psalms) revealed to him.
What book did Isa have revealed to him?
Isa (Jesus) had the Injil (Gospel) revealed to him.
What is the only book that exists in its original form in Islam.
The Qur’an.
What did Ibrahim have revealed to him?
Ibrahim (Abraham) had the Suhuf Ibrahim (Scrolls of Abraham) revealed to him.
How does Risalah and Kutub link to each other?
Risalah is prophethood and Kutub is the Holy Books. These books would have been found by prophets which is why Risalah and Kutub relate to each other.
What does Kutub Mean?
Holy Books.
Why do Muslims respect but reject the other Kutubs and mainly stick to the Qur’an?
The other Kutubs were said to be similar but had been twisted and changed over time so they are now no longer the exact way it should be which is why they stick to the Qur’an as it is the only book that hasn’t been changed.
