A

I know this Act will require us to collect and disseminate “stop data” to the DOJ regarding:

  • The perceived demographic data of our stops and contacts, AND
  • Citizen complaints that allege either racial or identity profiling
  • This data will be used to create an Annual Statewide report which the RIPA Board will use to provide their analyses.
  • I also know much of this data we’ve already been collecting on our CHP 415D’s for the last 20 years AND will require our officers to input this data into a web interface.
  • I know there is currently 16 template style questions which sometimes require a short narrative.
