There are four amendments to constitution about who can vote, describe one of them.
Any citizen can vote - male or female. Any male citizen of any race can vote. Citizens 18 or older can vote. You don’t have to pay (poll tax) to vote.
What is one responsibility that is only for US citizens?
Serve on a jury, vote in federal election.
What are two rights of everyone living in the US?
freedom of speech, freedom of religion (expression, assembly, bear arms, petition the government)
What do we show loyalty to when we say the pledge of allegiance?
The United States, the flag
What is one promise you make when you become a US citizen?
defend the consitution and laws, be loyal to the US, obey the laws of the US, serve in the US military if needed
How old do citizens have to be to vote for President?
18 or older
What are two ways that Americans can participate in their democracy?
Vote, run for office, join a political campaign or party
When is the last day you can send in federal income tax forms?
April 15th
When must all men register for selective service?
between 18 and 26
