- Fellow
- Chartered

What is the RICS associate membership and what are the requirements for qualifying for associate?
A
- The associate membership is suitable for individuals with work-based experience or vocational qualifications.
- Associate membership is not chartered status. Additional assessments must be undertaken to gain RICS chartered status.
- Individual must have 4 years relevant experience (although certain qualifications such as a bachelors degree will reduce the number of years experience required).
- Online submission including summary of experience against competencies, case study and CPD log.
- Online RICS ethics module and test.

What is the RICS fellow membership and what are the requirements for qualifying for fellow?
A
- The fellow membership is a mark of distinction and recognises individual achievement.
- All chartered members are eligible to apply for fellowship.
- Evidence of achievement of four fellowship characteristics such as:
o Five or more years as an RICS chartered surveyor.
o A leadership role.
o Appointed by training firm to deliver training.
o Gained a higher education qualification (such as a master’s degree).
