What is the Governing structure of the RICS?

A
  • The corporate governing structure is formed by the Royal Charter, By-Laws and Regulation. The RICS is self-regulated and internally monitored
  • The Governing Structure includes the Governing Council, Executive Board, Standards and Regulations Board.
  • Governing Council is responsible for approving RICS strategy, vision and changes to RICS’s constitutional documents.
  • It delegates responsibilities of overseeing the effective delivery of strategy to the RICS Executive board
  • The Standards and Regulations Board has responsibility for exercising RICS’ regulatory functions strategy, governance, structure, policy and operational oversight in the public interest. It also oversees the activities of RICS professional standards and admission to the profession, education and qualification standards, regulatory operations, dispute resolution services and Regulation Tribunal.
