Describe sarcoidosis

A

Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease of unknown cause affecting young and middle-aged adults. Patients commonly present with bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy, pulmonary infiltrates, and ocular and skin lesions. It usually affects the LUNGS AND SKIN. The symptoms of sarcoidosis depend on which organs are affected, but typically include: tender, red bumps on the skin. shortness of breath.
