Classification of a country that has wealth, higher education, more advanced technologies, many resources, strong allies, strong militaries
Semi-Periphery
Classification of a country that has both periphery and core qualities and is often industrializing
Absolute Distance
Distance that can be measured using a standard unit of length
Absolute Direction
The cardinal directions, North, East, South, West
Relative Distance
Distance determined by relations wth other places/things
Relative Direction
Direction based off persception, left, right, up, down, next to, above, etc
Census
An official count of the number of people in a defined area
Choropleth Map
A map colored or shaded to represnt depth or magnitude in an area
Cartogram
A map that has regions/states distorted to represnt magnitude in specific area
Isoline Map
Uses lines and sometimes colors to show differences and changes of a factor
