What is a mortgage bond?
Bond secured by mortgage on real properties
What is a collateral trust bond?
Bond secured by stocks and bonds of another corporation
What is a Debenture bond?
Bonds without collateral security
What is a Registered bond?
Bond that requires the registration of the name of the bondholder on the books of the corporation
What is a Coupon/bearer bond?
Unregistered bonds in the sense that the name of the bondholder is not recorded in the books of the corporation
What is a convertible bond?
Bond which gives the holders the right to convert their bondholding to shares or other securities of the issuing company within a specified period of time
What is a callable bond?
Bonds issued whereby the issuer may redeem it before maturity.
What is a junk bond?
High risk high yield bonds issued by heavily indebted or financially weak companies
What is a treasury bond?
Bonds reacquired by the issuer but not cancelled.
What is a term bond?
Bonds with a single date of maturity
What is a serial bond?
Bonds with a series of maturity dates.
