How does warfarin work ?
A
Vitamin K antagonist, inhibits synthesis of vitamin K dependent factors (2, 7, 9 and 10).

What is the action of an anti-coagulant ?
A
Inhibit activation of clotting cascade and reduce stability to form stable clot.

What are side effects of anticoagulants ?
A
Increased clotting time and risk of haemorrhage i.e. poor wound healing.
