2) 1.8-2.6 mL cartridge
what is the difference between the IA and gow gates
1) you need a bite block for a gow gates
if doing an incisive nerve block, what is difference in technique to mental block
1) the mental block is for numbing tissue
2 )the incisive block gets pulpal anesthesia
- need to massage it
3) technique 3 mm outside of mental foramen
patient is 10 years old, and needs T extracted, what do you do
1) NO gow gates on pediatric patients
- local and systemic complications because their foramen didn’t close
2) local Infiltration of mucobuccal fold and interdentals on B and L
- 4% articaine < 1.8 mL
- results in profound anesthesia, compared to 2% lidocaine
3) block injection
- IA + lingual with supplementals
- 18 mm, 2% lidocaine, 1.8 mL
nasopalatine
1) Does not anesthetize tissue
RCT on tooth #11, what is the amount of anesthesia and drug
1) 4% lidocaine (use silver for child, gold for adult)
- infiltration: 0.9 mL
2) PLUS additional for rubber dam
- 2% solution
- interdental infiltration of B and L on the palate
- do not use 4% on palate due to vasoconstriction
—
3) ASA 1.35 mL
- 2 % solution
