Q

Chemo receptors versus Baroreceptors

A
  • Barroreceptors (Stretch receptors) are located in the heart and use a short term negative feedback loop to regulate blood pressure. this process is initated by the SNS
  • chemoreceptors are located in the carotid body work more in respiration and work when there is a lack of oxygen and high amounts of H+ and CO2
