Transatlantic slavery
A form of slavery that involved trafficking African people
Enslaved person
A person who has been enslaved (also its better then calling them slaves)
Plantation
A large farm focused on growing one crop,e.g sugar or Cotten
Middle passage
The middle leg of the transatlantic triangle

The act of abolishing something r.g making it illegal

European sending guns hardware or materials to West Africa in exchange for enslaved people
What was the second step to the transatlantic triangle?
This enslaved people will be shipped to North America to work on plantations
What was the third step to the transatlantic triangle?
When the enslaved people had made enough crops, they would send the crops back to Europe and the cycle would begin again
How are people treated below deck?
They were stored below deck as cargo lying down and shackled together.in a total 2 million died on the journey
How are enslave people treated on plantations?
They were auctioned to work on plantations and were in harsh conditions
where were men and women meant to work?
Healthy men:as field slaves
young,elderly or sick:cleaning,guarding or driving away birds
women:domestic slaves

Pretending not to understanding instructions working intentionally slowly and taking more food than allowed๏ฟผ.

How did abolitionists fight against slavery?
One of the reasons was due to enlightenment when people started to question traditions and ideas and the second reason was a man named Granville Sharp who campaign from 1787 and set up the politician committee with 12 influential men
What did Granville Sharp and his 12 influential men do?
They travelled over 35,000 miles around Britain holding meetings and giving lectures
