Force and extension
Measure spring length before extension
Add 10 grams no bounce record length
Repeat add mass
Calculate extension- mass of extension minus starting mass
Acceleration
Draw straight lines 20cm apart perpendicular to bench edge
Attach a car to string and bench pulley
Attach weight on pulley hold it so it doesn’t pull the car but is extended
Release and time car to hit pulley
Waves
Fill ripple tank with depth of 5mm
Place on white paper
Wood rod on surface attached to low volt power supply
Hold lamp over tank
View pattern from the side
Place riler perpendicular to wavefront and measure across as many wavefronts as possible
Standing wave on vibrating screen
Produce a wave on string by adjusting generator
Measure wavelength
Radiation and absorption
Align infrared dectector with one side of Lesley cube
Take initial temp
Heat by pooring hot water on one side.
Measure temp for 30 secs for five minutes
Repeat with other sides
Plot a graph
