If a witnessed cardiac arrest on monitoring in a shockable rhythm then can give 3 successive shocks initially before commencing CPR

1st line treatment for anaphylaxis?

Answer 2

IM Adrenaline 500 micrograms / 0.5ml of 1:1,000

(the weaker stuff - 10ml of 1:10,000 IV is used in cardiac arrest)

if not responded after 5 mins, repeat the same dose of IM adrenaline. Can also give crystalloid IVI at this time.
