Treaty of Versailles
Created by presidents from the US, UK, France, and Italy. The US wanted leniency, France wanted revenge, and the UK was in the middle. They created the War Guilt Clause where Germany was blamed for the war, and had to pay all the funds of the war.

The US Senate did not favor the treaty because it would take away the autonomy and sovereignty from the US and they would have to deal with European affairs.
