US naval air to surface weapons range

A
  • located immediately west of Smith Is
  • circle radius is 1.25nm
  • area may be closed to traffic from 0700-2400 daily
  • prior to use vessels in the area will be overflown by an aircraft at an altitude of not less than 300’ in the direction in which the unauthorized vessel is to proceed to clear the area

West side of whidbey restricted area

A

2 restricted areas lie beneath the approach and departure patterns for the 2 main runways at Ault Field, NAS Whidbey Is. Each is about 1.5nm in length and .7nm wide at the widest part. One projects west from Ault Field and the other projects NNW along the west beach. Persons or Vsls shall not enter these areas except at their own risk. All persons and Vsls entering these areas shall comply with orders from naval sources pertaining to their movements in the area.

Admiralty inlet

A

Naval restricted area. Lies N and NW of Quimper peninsula as far north as partridge bank. Use of any equipment such as anchors, fishing gear, grapnels etc.. which may foul underwater installations within the restricted area is prohibited. Dumping of any non-buoyant objects in the area is prohibited.

Small arms safety area

A

Off the western shore of whidbey Is. South of the twin Ault field restricted areas. The firing range operates 7 days a week. Red flashing lights and flags are displayed when used.
