Flow of air
A
Nasal cavity and mouth- air enters through nose of mouth
Pharynx- air passes through pharynx
Larynx- air enters larynx (voice box), helps protect airway during swallowing
Trachea- tube that connects upper respiratory tract to lungs.
Bronchi- trachea divides into 2 main bronchi (right and left), bronchi branch further into smaller bronchioles within lungs
Alveoli- tiny air sacs where gas exchange occurs, oxygen diffuses from alveoli into bloodstream
