How do ulcers form

A

When an imbalance occurs and your stomach doesn’t have enough mucus lining. About 90% of ulcers are caused by an infection from a specific bacteria known as helicobacter pylori

Diabetes

A

A condition in which the body doesn’t produce enough insulin. Type one diabetes (juvenile) is when the body stops making insulin due to an autoimmune disease which attacks the cells of the pancreas. Type 2 diabetes is linked to obesity and lack of physical activity

Heart burn

A

Burning sensation in the chest caused by regurgitation of acid from the stomach into the esophagus. When the sphincter at the end of esophagus weakens it allows stomach acid to flow back up the esophagus. Heartburn can be caused by spicy food too

Cirrhosis

A

When liver is scarred or damaged from ongoing diseases or other conditions. Buildup of scar tissue blocks blood flow to the liver which slowly kills or damages the liver cells. Hepatitis can lead to cirrhosis. Symptoms include fatigue, muscle weakness, swelling
