the partial or complete collapse of a lung

A
respiratory depression
can be caused by opioids, decreased RR, shallow breaths, tight abdomen dressing

pulmonary oedema?
A
excess fluid in the lungs- difficult to breathe
think about- fluid balance, sepsis, aspiration and positioning

what is a pulmonary embolism?
A
blockage of an artery in the lungs by a substance that has moved from elsewhere in the body through the bloodstream
