  • Post-infective → TB, ABPA & childhood infection (pertussis, measles)
  • Immunodeficiency → HIV & hypogammaglobulinaemia
  • Congenital → cystic fibrosis, Kartagener’s & yellow nail syndrome
  • Mechanical → cancer, fibrosis (traction) & bronchial obstruction
  • Autoimmune → rheumatoid arthritis & SLE
  • COPD
