wheezes on expiration due to narrowed airways

Mixed inspiratory and expiratory effort = pulmonary parenchymal dis

Incr BV sounds = wet lungs

crackles if alv full of pus

wheezes if airways narrowed d/t mucus

No noises w/o stethoscope

Muffled heart and lung sounds ventrally

No adventitial lung sounds unless also pneumonia

Paradoxical breathing common

Harsh crackles

Pulmonary hypertension may lead to cor pulmonale with tricuspid regurgitaiton

Depending on cause, no adventitial sounds

Crackles if alveoli full of water, esp after cough
