resperation and breathing Flashcards
what is aerobic respiration
aerobic respiration is the relaease of energy from food using oxagen
the equasion of arobic respiration
food+oxagen=energy+carbon dioxide+water
name the parts of the respiration system with the help of a diagram
voice box, tracia, broncus, bronkiolies, alviolie, diaphram
explane the process of inhaling
the diafram contracts wich moves opens the lungs wich draws in air to the alviolies, the air moves down the tracia throught the broncus into the bronciolies and finialy into the alviolies
explain the process of exhaling
the diapram relaxes wich forces the co2 out of the alvioliolies through the bronciolies throw the broncus the up throw the tracia and finaly out of your nose or mouth
explane the procces of gas exchange in the alviolies
the alviolies are sounded by capileries,
the walls are so thin that the gas can diffuse from the alviolie to the blood,
the o2 in the alviolies difuses into the blood cells,
the co2 in the blood cells go into the alviolies for exhale.
explane the experiment wich shows exhaled air containes more carbondioxide then inhaled air
you have 2 test tubes with lime water in it both of them have 2 straws in them one inside the lime water and the othere above the surface.
blow into the test tube A where the straw is in the water
inhale into test tube B where the straw is out of the water
result
the result is that test tube A gouse milky quicker than test tube B wich shows that test tube A has more co2
what is the definition for respiration?
resperation is the release of energy from food
