Rifampacin, Isoniazid, Pyrazinamide, Ethambutol

What is the Mechanism for each of the TB drugs
A
Rifampacin - Bacteriocidal, inhibits protein synthesis, effective throughout the treatment
Isoniaziad - Bacteriocidal, inhibits cell wall syntheis, effective at the initial stage of treament
Pyrazinamide - Bacteriocidal, less effective later
Ethanbutol - Bacteriotoxic, inhibits cell wall synthesis

What are the side effects of each of the TB drugs
A
Rifampicin - red urine, hepatitis, drug interaction,
Isoniazid - hepatitis, peripheral neuorpathy
Pyrazinamide - hepatitis, arthralgia/gout, rash
Ethanbutamol - optic neuritis
