Not Successful
- Canada provided $95million of aid, Hanang District, 1968-1993
- It provided 60% of all Tanzania’s Wheat
- Only 121 Tanzanians were taught how to produce wheat, and they had to pay the $95million back
- Yield was mostly low and would have been cheaper to import wheat

Successful on small scale
- Between 1999-2006 launched by the UK-based charity Farm Africa in the Babati District
- Total profit of farmers in the Goat Aid program was $1.5million more than those not in Goat Aid Program
- Toggenburg goats produce up to 3L of milk per day, cost $400 each
- They had to pay back the $200,000 which was invested

- Southern African Growth Corridor of Tanzania started in 2010
- Some farms produced 8x the rice due to better connections due to implemented roads (7300 rice growers in 11 villages)
- One success is the Kilombero Plantation which is a commercial farm which invested millions (of the $70mill) into tractors, irrigation, a rice mill and storage which allowed them to double rice yield
- A lot of the money produced was given back to the TNC’s with some farms giving back as much as 60% of their profit
