The different variables?

A

Independent variable - the variable that is manipulated or changed

Dependant variable - the variable that is used to measure or changed that effects the IV

Controlled variable - stays the same

Extraneous variable - the errors or mistakes

Participant variable - indivual differences in personal characteristics among research participants such as age, sex, religion, cultural background, intelligence

Experimenter variable - personal characteristics of the experimenter
