Explain what is meant by event sampling?
A
Observers/researchers decide on a specific event relevant to the investigation
Relevant event is recorded every time it happens

Explain what is meant by an ‘overt observation’
A
An observation where participants are aware that they are being observed by researchers because the researchers can be seen

What is concurrent validity?
A
This is the degree to which a test corresponds to an external criterion that is known concurrently (i.e. occurring at the same time) (comparing your research to other similar research and seeing if similar results are obtained)
